Journal 1!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will describe the color "red" to a blind man by using my own intake on the color. The color red is a fiery color its like heat.. too hot to resist bright and luminous. Heat is the best way to describe red because everyone expriences heat everyday from the age of a baby to the age of an old man. I would also relate red to a angry or furious mood because everyone knows that whenever someone thinks of red they think of an angry mood. Also, I would read literature that would describe red with the use of imagery or metaphors that other authors have used. It also depends on if the blind man was born blind or not, if he wasnt then I would deacribe holidays that have the color red in it such as Christmas or Valintines day. Also, I would use vegitables or fruits that are red to describe the color for the blind man.

A new material object to a primitive culture I would share would be the guitar. Im sure this culture is unaware of this beautiful instrument and I would like to share the guitar so they'll begin to make music. The guitar will bring many people together as it has done for me. I play guitar with my family and friends, we have a great time singing togther and playing together. I hope the people of this culture will experience the same exact thing. Nothing is better than playing guitar and making beautiful music, it has been life changing to many people and it has changed my life. When I introduce this instrument to these people they will soon experience they greatness of the guitar.

Journal 3!!!!!!!!

The way I use language to make a point is what i've taken from the class. Before, I wouldnt use academic language when I spoke, but now with the help from the class I began to use higher vocabulary in my everyday life. My vocabulary is'nt pedantic, however, I use enough academic language to make myself sound more like my age. I know I will speak like this for the rest of my life and I am greatful for the experience i've had in this class. Speaking more academically will help me succeed in life, by acquiring jobs to support myself. Also, by studying rhetoric i've learned how to detect many different tecniques that politicians use in there speech to persuade their audiences.

Journal 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would be Johnny Ramone from the Ramones because he is one of the most influential guitarist's who have ever lived. Johnny Ramone wasnt the best guitarist but the way he played the guitar was so amazing. He played with style, a style that presented himself as a "I dont care" guy, the way heplayed fit the punk scene he was in. He made songs such as "Blitzkreig Bop" and "I wanna be Seadated" which are two of the most recognized songs in music. Also, he is one of the pioneers of my favorite music genre which is punk rock. He has inspired so many other bands and guitarist's, he will never be forgotten in music.

Journal 5!!!!!!!!!

If I had the descision to spend $1 million on something in the world I would choose to spend it on the starving children in Africa. I would donate money to any organization that would help these children live. I believe no living creature should live like they way the children from Africa live and everyone should aleast donate something to help these troubled souls. I commemorate the people who are over there in Africa helping the children someday I want to do the same. I would donate my money to CARE an organization that provides emergency relief and supports services in the Horn of Africa. Only if I had $1 million I would make a difference, but, im just a teen and one day I will make a difference.

Journal 8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A quote that would describe me would be,"dont judge a book by its cover", I believe this quote describes me very well because before people talk to me they think im a stuck up guy when im really a funny and weird guy. By the way I dress people think im a trouble maker and a bad guy when in reality im the opposite of those accusations. One time, in 9th grade a teacher yelled at me and called me a "skater gangster" because I used vulgar language. Also, the teacher went on and said that im a bad kid who gets bad grades but little did he know i had A's and B's in all of my accelerated classes. This goes to show how people can judge someone by they way they look and it is something that I live with everyday.
